We are in Birmingham at UAB

Praise the Lord we got a bed at UAB. Mom arrived last night to UAB around 11PM. She made the trip fine, a little discomfort but did well for the most part. The nurses were impressed with the large support group, Todd, Lori, Troy, Barbara and Kathy Miller (mom's sister). We all stayed and helped mom get settled and help answer all the initial questions. A Dr. Long checked her out but only asked a lot of questions no answers or anything yet. They will be running test tomorrow we hope. They are working her in to some of the tests so it may be late in the day before they get to her. Kathy stayed with Mom las night and the rest of us came to the hotel room around 2AM for some much needed rest. We will do our best to keep updates rolling. We appreciae all of the prayers and support from all of you.

    I am so glad you arrived with minimal discomfort! We are praying continuously and are always comforted by the Lord...I just wish he would answer my phone calls at 8:30 in the morning!!!!! Love you and hate the separation! Jan, Bruce, Tim and Lucy.

    The Lord has helped UAB work a lot of miracles over the years because they are on the cutting edge of medicine. We are desparately praying for just such a miracle healing with you, Vickey. God loves you so much that we know that His wisdom and power will be used in your best interest. We love you very much, too.

    Vickey Smith, how dare you to run off like this when I haven't even had the opportunity to have coffee and bagels together. You know I am going to get up to Dothan soon to honor that agreement we had to meet, enjoy a good cup of coffee (of course you will have to determine where such coffee exists in Dothan other than your home), and jabber for a while. Gonna beat this thing, 'cause Jesus loves you. How does that childhood song of ours go?--Jesus loves the little children, all the children ..... . And we all do too. So, stay strong in your faith.
